Stephanie Maez, Founder and Owner

With over 20 years of nonprofit, public, and private sector experience, Maez has a track record of supporting and leading efforts to drive systemic change through advocacy, strategic communications, community engagement, and philanthropy.
Most recently, as the Executive Director of Outdoor Foundation, Maez led the organization's grant-making and fund development efforts to help create equitable access to the outdoors for all via the National Thrive Outside initiative. Through this work, Thrive Outside partners help improve outcomes in health and wellness, public safety, juvenile incarceration, and environmental stewardship to name a few.
Maez, former Senior Fellow for the Topos Partnership, previously worked as Executive Director for ProgressNow New Mexico, CEO for the Center for Civic Policy, and served in former New Mexico Governor Richardson’s administration. As a New Mexico state legislator, Maez sponsored and supported a slate of innovative community-based policy proposals. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from the University of New Mexico.
Through her consulting practice, Maez works with businesses seeking to impact the world beyond profit alone; and nonprofit organizations, labor unions, and philanthropic partners to strengthen our communities and improve outcomes for all people.
